Black great dane

Description

I have a great dane I am looking to re-home. We adopted him in September but our two other dogs do not like him so they give him a hard time (they are small yorkies and they will try to bite him if he gets ahead of them). He is current on shots, 15 months old, 80 pounds, potty trained and a genuinely sweet boy. He knows sit, wait, no, and stay. When we adopted him, he had been in a home that allowed him to take food off of plates and kitchen counters but we trained that out of him and he quickly learned he was not allowed in the kitchen! We have tried to take him to the groomers because he is too big to bathe in our bathtub but he gets nervous at the groomers and lays on the floor like a toddler. They can't groom him if he doesn't go of his own free will so we've been unsuccessful and have to bathe him outside with the hose. He is black with a white patch on his chest. He would come with a container of food, toys, his kennel, blanket, bed, feeding dishes, leash and choke collar (he is VERY strong so walking him with a choke collar is a must - in fact, he literally broke out of one running after a rabbit). Although we feed him 8 cups of high-quality food per day, he is pretty lean. At one time we were adding sweet potatoes and eggs to his diet and he started to pick up weight but quickly dropped it after we stopped giving him the extra. As long as he goes to a good home, there is no rehoming fee. It's not good for to him to be picked on by the other dogs and he deserves the best house.
