Description
Last summer my elderly mother-in-law passed away. Her sweet 10-year-old cat and companion Kiki needed a home and I invited her into mine. While I do not consider myself a cat person, I do appreciate Kiki's company and have grown to respect how peaceful and content an animal she is.
Lately though, it's become clear to me that Kiki would benefit from being in a house where she would receive more love and attention. Ideally, I'd like to find someone who is home a lot and would enjoy the companionship of a very adoring middle-aged cat.
While she is very shy at first, she loves to be brushed and will bond with anyone who takes the time to brush her and talk to her. She even "talks" back. She can use a cat box, but at my house uses a cat door to come and go at her own freewill, and she goes outside to use the bathroom. She is tolerant of my two dogs, but keeps her distance. However, she likes to go on walks and will follow me and my little dog around the block. She will feel more relaxed in a home with one or two calm adults (a home with many young children would feel stressful to her).
Kiki is spayed and became very overweight in the last few years due to too many treats! However, she has lost a lot of weight in the last 10 months, since she's been with me (and on a diet).
I will not be charging a re-homing fee and I will include all of her supplies - bed, brush, cat box, remaining food and treats, water and food bowls, cat door if it would be helpful, etc.
If you are interested in learning more about Kiki, please reply in email and tell me a little bit about yourself and the environment that Kiki would be living in. I would like to re-home Kiki to a special home where she will feel comfortable and cared for.
