Description

Ready for Rescue is trying help Rocky, a 6-year-old 100 lb. Lab/Dane from ending up in the city shelter. His family has had him since he was a puppy and he's been a model dog. He's friendly, cuddly and well-trained. He gets along well with the neighbor's Jack Russell has been around cats and he's good on the leash. The father recently tried to take a bone away from Rocky and he got bit. He admitted that was a mistake but the family is now "afraid" of him. The family will be taking him to an NYC shelter where Rocky will likely be put down. Because of his potential resource guarding he should go to an experienced home with no young children. Ready for Rescue will contribute to his training. If anyone is interested, we will connect them with the family for a meet and greet. Ready for Rescue is a 501 3 C non-profit committed to saving cats and dogs from the streets and shelters of NYC.
