State what you play, Years of Experience and anything that makes you UNIQUE, such as if you're multi instrumental, or if you can sing harmonies, or if you also have Classical or Jazz background, if you can read music etc. Then, SHUT UP! You'll get tons of calls. You can decide if you want to eliminate the offer AFTER you get the call. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ELIMINATE EVERYBODY AT THE POINT OF ADVERTISING. DO NOT STATE: Who you won't play with in your ad, or the Genre in your ad, or your Gender in your ad, or your entire musical background in your ad, or refer to the types of bands and sounds you like to associate with. IT DON'T MATTER. Let your phone ring and do your audition and interview with the caller direct. Often times, a caller, way more qualified than yourself, will reach out to see if YOU are the ONE they need. Plus, if it doesn't work out with that caller, he or she may refer you to someone they know that might be your perfect match.
