Young Farmers Program * Ages 7-11 Years Old * Six consecutive Thursdays 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. beginning April 28th and ending June 2nd, 2022 Experience the farm as it springs into life! Each week children will awaken their senses by exploring a variety of age-appropriate activities in an inviting, restorative and special place. Possible themes include: 1. Spring Preparation: Soil blocking; Planting seeds; Transplanting seedlings 2. Spring Wonder/Exploration: Observing growth throughout the farm; life of the soil and composting 3. Farm to Table: Experience the journey of food from seeds to your table 4. Animals and Wildlife: Birds, bees, bugs and their nests 5. Individual creativity and play: Art and stories on the farm Safety is our priority. We will follow mandatory and best practices of the CDC, EPA and NYS guidelines. After you have paid on Eventbrite, an additional registration form will be sent to you which includes the farm's commitment to safety, a Covid-19 Release and Waiver, and a Parent/Caretaker Agreement. Once the farm receives this form, your registration will be complete. If you choose not to sign the form, a refund will be arranged.
