Join us for a community celebration to kick off a month of programming for the planet. We’re No Fools: An Earth Month Kick-off Party! At The WasteShed, Evanston’s new non-profit creative reuse center, & Evanston Rebuilding Warehouse, the building material reuse warehouse, 1245 Hartrey. Look for the big purple building. Enough already! It’s been a tough couple of years and it’s time to get together and have some fun - and maybe make some earthy connections while we’re at it. Let’s celebrate our fabulous community and our spectacular planet. Games! DJ & Dancing! Art-Making for all ages! Sharing tips and projects to repurpose, reuse and create with found materials and found objects. “Make art not Waste” Snacks, Beer/Wine/Cocktails and some n/a delights as well! At 5pm, Evanston Author Susie Pratt will read excerpts from her new book, More or Less: Essays from a Year of No Buying about the year her family spent trying to step outside of the flow of American consumerism. Confess your environmental sins at the Climate Confessional! Schmoozing Galore! This is the place to see and be seen if you're green! Only a fool would miss this bash!
