As Chef Willis shares stories and shows you how to make each dish, you'll sit back, relax, and enjoy a delightful meal.  A NOTE FROM VIRGINIA WILLIS "From the beginning of my career, I knew it was important for me as a female to learn from other women in the industry. I felt that mentorship from women who have "been there, done that" - from how to ask for what you're worth, to sharing unique talents, to paths of leadership - was integral to what I wanted in my career. I am excited to present this menu made from my mentors for Women's History Month."  Georgia-born, French-trained Chef Virginia Willis has made chocolate chip cookies with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, foraged for berries in the Alaskan wilderness, harvested capers in the shadow of a smoldering volcano in Sicily, and hunted for truffles in France. She is talent and chef-instructor for the digital streaming platform Food Network Kitchen. She specializes in chef-inspired recipes for home cooks.  Virginia was the celebrity chef a the Mansion at Churchill Downs for the 143rd running of the Kentucky Derby. As a well-known, female, Southern chef, Virginia has spoken at SXSW, cooked for the James Beard Foundation, and beguiled celebrities such as Jane Fonda, Morgan Freeman, and Bill Clinton with her cooking - but it all started in her grandmother's country kitchen.  MenuNora Pouillon's Butternut Squash & Chevre Tart with Arugula SaladAnne Willan's Root Vegetable Gratin with Sauce MornayNathalie Dupree's Spinach Stuffed Beef TenderloinJulia Child's Riene de Saba ( Chocolate Almond Tart)Martha Stewart's Bourbon Creme Anglaise For ages 18 & up; If you are 21 or older, you can enjoy wine paired with the meal.  Safety & Precautions At check-in, you will be asked to sign a waiver before entering the Cooking School. For that reason, we ask that all attendees arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the confirmed start time of the class. Some COVID-related restrictions may apply.
