SKOKIE — The Community Animal Rescue Effort's Adoption Center at 4927 Main St. in Skokie is offering its Pet Food Pantry for dog and cat owners in need of assistance through the coronavirus pandemic. In addition to food, the pantry may also offer pet supplies such as leashes, bowls and toys. The pantry is operating by appointment only on the first and third Fridays of the month between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Clients will not be allowed into the building for their appointment as a safety precaution. Instead, volunteers at C.A.R.E. will arrange for clients to pick up pet food at the building's front entrance.
