Description
Come meet your neighbors, tell a story and hear one from those who share our part of the city. Welcome! The Audubon-Downriver Neighborhood Council is sponsoring a Newcomers Welcome Club. What is a Newcomers Welcome Club? A Newcomers Welcome Club is a place to meet your neighbors. It is a place for Newcomers to the neighborhood and a place for folks who wish to welcome them. We've all felt like a stranger in a strange new place. Wouldn't it be great if you had a place to gather to meet friendly people who know your neighborhood and are genuinely happy to see you? This is the place. Newcomers Welcome Clubs are for people who wish to meet their neighbors in a friendly, curious, active way. We play games, tell stories, share food and drinks and leave having made the acquaintance of others and perhaps a friend. We create a place to meet people that is safe and inclusive. We celebrate diversity expressed with kindness. We work on the assumption that if our events work for a somewhat shy person, they will work for self confident people as well. Sounds amazing, right? If you wish to help with this event and future ones, please click here and complete a quick survey. https://forms.gle/zK9KMCrVFSYTEkS46 Who and what is the Audubon-Downriver Neighborhood Council?
