Part Time Service Specialist primarily Promotes a positive image of the credit union by displaying a knowledgeable and professional manner, with a focus on sales and services. Knowledgeable in all credit union products and services. Consults with members on their specific needs. Quotes relevant information about accounts, products or services. Opens new accounts, processes deposits, withdrawals and loan payments. Must work Saturday hours. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Assist members and potential members with their requestsAnswer questions and resolve problems within their authorityRefer problems that are beyond their authority to the department managerProcess member transactionsIdentify cross-sell opportunities and cross-sell services to membersAssure that appropriate records are maintained and required reports are preparedMay travel to all credit union facilities, primarily branches, to fill needs created by special projects, staff vacations, open positions, etc. Knowledge and Skills: Strong interpersonal skillsGood listening and telephone skillsAble to operate a 10-key calculator and computer keyboardDetail orientedBilingual is a plusGood listening, sales and telephone skills; must be good with names and numbersBasic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel requiredThis position requires six months to two years of similar or related experience. Credit Union background preferred. Salary: DOE starting from $18 per hour This position will work an average of 25 hours per week and up to 29 hours per week including Saturdays. Hours may not be regularly scheduled.
