Description
SKOKIE, IL — The first in a series of outdoor concerts in the parking lot behind the North Shore Center for Performing Arts is set to take place Saturday. The venue's "Out Back Summer Sessions" series of evening shows is scheduled to run through early September.
Capacity will be limited to 200 people, with general admission tickets and parties of up to six seated together in designed areas. The event is not a drive-in, so attendees must bring their own chairs and blankets to set up in assigned parking
Face coverings will be required when not socially distanced or eating in designated viewing spaces. No outside alcohol, grills, stoves, tents, canopies or pets are allowed.
There will be prepackaged concessions, including beer and wine, available for purchase at the site and take-out and delivery options from local restaurants, according to organizers.
The concerts are being held according to guidance from the village's health department. The village has responsibility for maintenance and oversight of the facility, spending over $750,000 last year on building repairs and operations.
