STAMFORD, CT — The city of Stamford is looking for feedback on a redesign and reconstruction project slated for Atlantic Street between Washington Boulevard and Dock Street/Station Place. The project is being undertaken by the city's Transportation, Traffic & Parking Department. "This is the number two priority transportation project for the City, and the design philosophy is focused on improving safety and mobility for all users, including pedestrians and bike riders," the city said in a Facebook post recently. "We also seek to improve quality of life, reduce congestion, and create a better urban realm." The city has created a survey for Stamford residents, with questions focusing on how people use the roadway and what the city should prioritize in the project. "We want to hear from you about your concerns for the roadway and your feedback is essential to us as we work on our design," the city said.
