Press release from the Town of Milton: March 18, 2022 The Milton Parks and Recreation Department is excited to let you know that we have been busy this Winter training on our new Civic Rec Software. What is recreation software? • In the long term we will be able to provide many features that had been requested of us over years past. Some of those features you may not see immediately as we will slowly be implementing some of these features. Starting with recreation activity registration. The ability to go live with programs after the hours of 5pm. Thus, creating a more equitable platform with access for all at a time of day when the majority of people could be available to go online to register.• Software will also provide more transparency to parents/caregivers with respects to waitlist could be automated.• Families or Caregivers will create a family profile that would give them the ability to view programs they may have signed up for or print receipts for reimbursement or tax purposes and export calendar to phones etc. What you need to do and how does it affect me? • We will be going live with our new software on March 14th. UNIBANK will no longer be in use for registration from that point on for the Recreation Department.• Everyone that intends on signing up for any activity in the future will be required to set up a Civic Rec account for their family and include any family members including themselves for future recreation activity registrations. Below are step by step instructions on how to do so. HOW TO SET UP A MILTON RECREATION CIVICREC ACCOUNT DIRECTIONS BELOW FOR LINK: Click Here Select Login/Create Account in the upper left corner, then select light blue button at bottom to create account. On mobile devices, select Account in the upper right corner and click Sign Up. Fill out the required information. To receive text alerts (i.e. class cancellations, facility closings), indicate your mobile carrier next to your cell number. To receive important notifications, opt-in to receive all communication types (courtesy notifications, critical announcements, upcoming events) Additional household members (spouse, children, etc.) may be added at any time in your Account Settings. Keep your entire household on one account! Come registration times when you have chosen an Activity, make sure to select the correct account member before adding it to your cart.
