HARLEM, NY — Firefighters on Sunday battled a three-alarm blaze at a vacant Harlem commercial building devastated just months ago by another fire. The fire was reported at 480 Lenox Ave. in Harlem shortly after 4:30 a.m., according to an FDNY spokesperson. The one-story building, located near West 134th Street at the base of the Lenox Terrace apartment complex, was vacant and under construction, officials said. The fire was deemed under control shortly before 7:20 a.m. The cause remains under investigation. On Nov. 3, a five-alarm fire broke out just after 3 a.m. at the same location. At the time, businesses occupying the block included the Lenox Terrace management office, the clothing store Sesinko, Lenox Fish Market, the former Paragon Department Store and Manna's soul food restaurant. Most businesses appeared gutted following the Nov. 3 fire, riddled with burned debris and caved-in ceilings. RELATED: Huge Harlem Fire Devastates Row Of Businesses
