BRIDGEPORT, CT — A man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash, according to Bridgeport police. The incident occurred about 10 p.m. Friday, when a silver 2018 Honda Civic hit a pedestrian in the 200 block of Boston Avenue, police said. The Civic, which had a state registration number of BF78804, fled the scene traveling south on Noble Avenue, according to police. Authorities notified nearby towns about the runaway vehicle and searched for the Civic — which is missing a front grill and a front right fog light grill — but were unsuccessful, authorities said. The victim suffered head and body trauma and is in critical condition, according to police, who asked anyone with information about the crash to call Officer Thomas Gallbronner at 203-576-7640 or the Bridgeport police tip line at 203-576-8477.
