CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — For the seventh consecutive day, there were fewer than 100 new coronavirus cases in Camden County on Thursday. There were also no new deaths announced on Thursday. "This incredible progress is entirely the product of our residents and their commitment to social distancing and other public health measures," Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said. "Around the world, however, this virus is continuing spread and new cases are increasing, underscoring the reality that we have not defeated this invisible enemy. We must continue to take precautions and carefully follow the advice of public health experts so that we can avoid another deadly spike." Trace investigations are underway in all new cases. According to the Camden County Department of Health, 1,187 residents of the county's 56 long-term care facilities have tested positive for the coronavirus, with 255 confirmed deaths.
