According to what are they required to tell us the truth?
According to the "Fairness Doctrine" they were required to tell both sides of stories, as close to "telling the truth" as they were ever actually required legally to report.
Guess who ended that? The same @#$ party who made it legal for corporations to bribe politicians (Citizens United).
Both legislations were either killed or put in place to "protect first amendment rights" according to the republican party.
Fairness Doctrine had to go so that news stations could flat out lie to us.
Citizens United was put in place to make it easier for corporations to downright bribe politicians.
