Blade Runner chats in Powell's

Powells became a go to for me once life opened back up. A way to walk the aisles, but not too close. No one had seen humans outside of their bubbles for a few months after lockdown. I noticed you in the sci-fi section more than once and we chatted. Felt like an intimate, movie-like, post-covid moment. I could only see dark eyeshadow on an otherwise masked face but I think I saw a nice smile when I brought up Snow Crash and Dune. We mused about Blade Runner for a few minutes. I didn't have the courage to be more forward; didn't want to be "that" creepy guy. I am moving to Sydney, but on the off chance you read this and want to talk about books, I'm here for it. If not, I guess: "All these moments are lost in time, just like tears in the rain."
