I realize there are many things I do not know but one thing I do know is, the United States no longer has a government by the people and for the people. Now it is by the corporations and for the corporations. This state of affairs has been most likely accelerated as the result of the Supreme Court's decision regarding Citizens United vs FEC where in January of 2010 The Court ruled, 5-4, that the First Amendment prohibits limits on corporate funding of independent broadcasts in candidate elections. In essence, this blew open the door for massive corporate-based political campaign contributions. In other words the buying of our elected officials. Compound this with a bought and paid for media and you end up with politicians like Joe Biden and not Eisenhower, Kennedy and now Zelensky. When was the last time you saw an honest politician, whose purpose in life was public service? Don't let the 5000 or so one-percenters divide over 300 million Americans. We are the United States, not the divided states.
