I'm a solid singer/rhythm-guitarist/x-drummer looking for experienced lead guitar &/or drummer & maybe keys to jam on 80's covers or just network (your place or mine). The bluesy, soulful 70's are my roots - its great and I still cover it when I get the itch but let's face it - 80's is the new Classic Rock that's more relatable for many (certainly played more on radio still). But since ie. Metal singing & strumming is not easy, few attempt it. Its why I prefer to tune down which allows me to pull some of it off. I'm an 80's teen, now entering 50's. Was in pro band years ago but, like most, now busy juggling work so this is mainly for fun to keep the rust off (but won't rule out gigin parties). I've played many open mics this side of river, doing acoustic coffee shop stuff but prefer harder elec. Being a seasoned singer/songwriter, nuance and 'dynamics' over volume are important to me and I hope to find others likeminded (if u can sing in tune doing chorus back-ups even better). I have great vocal range, sounding bassy & scratchy like Morrison or higher & more wavering like Daltry or P.Rogers. I'm easy going but after years of trial/error I'm choosey about what fits my voice. I'm drawn to lighter melodic sounds of ie., Triumph or Foreigner but I'm also a bit of a closet Opera dude so I'm test driving some Queensryche and even Iron Maiden. Also Stix, Krokus, Cult, Ozzy, Motley, Kiss, (not into thrashier Metallica). Luv the slow-builds with the classical guitar influence. If u play keys, how bout some Fix or Genesis. If your a chick who's into Lita Ford or Vixon, we can try duets (I have extra equip.). I have an older sample recording to share and maybe u have a link as well. [I'd also consider giving lessons in singing/r-guitar, & drums or doing paid studio work for other retro composers in need of a classic vocal sound.] Russell
