Will we get a new Miss River Bridge ???

I see on the front page of our local newspaper all the Politicians are "working" down at the State Capital. So I'm wondering if we are ever going to get a new bridge over the Mississippi River somewhere south of Baton Rouge. We desperately need a Loop Bypass south of town. If anyone has any information on this please post. Thanks
