Description
I have an Albino African Clawed Frog for adoption. He is easy to care for, but he might eat other tank inhabitants if they fit in his mouth. He enjoys sinking frog pellets and frozen (defrosted) blood worms. He needs a larger aquarium than I have space for (at least 10 gallons). He likes plant cover and caves, but he breathes air, so needs to easily be able to get to the top fo the tank for air about every 10-20 minutes. These guys are 100% aquatic. He would probably do well in a large tank with fish like goldfish that are both gentle and too big to eat. Some people also keep them with livebearers like guppies and platys for "population control".
Please do not ask about him if you are not familiar with this species and if you don't have experience with aquatic frogs. I will not send him to anyone without at least a 10 gallon tank for him, but bigger is probably better. He is about 9 months old and these guys can live more than 5 years. He (I have no idea of the sex) tripled in size since I got him and outgrew his 5 gallon tank.
