Bassist Wanted For Established Prog Rock Band

Amalgam Effect is a Denver metro based Prog Rock band with three studio albums released (and a fourth on the way) and many shows behind us, including appearances at Denver’s local Progfest and Chicago’s international Progtoberfest. Our lineup consists of lead vocals/flute/guitar, lead guitar/vocals, keys/vocals, and drums. Our founding bassist has recently decided to leave the band to follow other pursuits, so we’re looking for someone to fill that role. We rehearse, write, and record in Westminster near 112th and Sheridan every Sunday from about 1:00 to about 9:00 and most Wednesday evenings from about 7:00 to about 10:00. The ideal bassist would be someone with stage and studio experience, professional quality equipment, reliable transportation, and a flexible schedule. Ideally they would also be well-versed in the genre, and the tone and style most associated with it (Chris Squire, Geddy Lee, Nick Beggs, Dave Meros, etc.) Certain accommodations could be made with regards to scheduling, transportation, and equipment on a case by case basis. Also worth noting, both to comply with as many venues as possible and for the sake of band members with immuno-compromised family, any applicants will be asked to provide proof of COVID vaccination.
