The Seamstress position will fabricate and maintain the drapery inventory in our Eighty Four warehouse. Fabrication can be completed at home if desired. Duties Must be familiar with the operation of various machines that include: Single Needle, Serger, and various other sewing machines. Competent execution of hand sewing. Must be able to mark and pin hems. Must have experience working with satin, sheer, and other heavyweight materials. Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proven record of high standards and quality of work. Ability to start and finish projects independently and on schedule. Qualifications Ability to understand, read and speak English. Excellent verbal communication skills to communicate successfully with the design and leadership team. Ability to multitask and deal with competing demands. Ability to take direction. Ability to lift and carry 20-50 pounds repeatedly. Must be 18 years or older and have a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License. Ability to sit, stand, bend and flex for an extended period. Ability to tolerate long work shifts and work flexible schedules to include evenings and weekends. Schedule + Compensation This position has variable hours with compensation starting at $16 per hour. This position has the option to work from home to complete tasks.
