Working rock band looking for drummer in the Pittsburgh Area. The right candidate should have: - considerable experience - good ability - mechanics, groove, timekeeping, dynamics - play with energy - feel for a variety of styles - be able to rock with power, as well as do new wave/alternative, pop, soul, R&B - adequate equipment - creativity, with ability and desire to add our own spin to covers, and to create good drum parts for new originals that we add to the set list over time - solid transportation We like people who are easy to get along with - we are friends as well as bandmates, and although we get paid, we are doing this mostly for enjoyment. We’d like to avoid difficult people, prima donnas, drama, heavy drinking, drugs, etc. Ability to sing backups and harmony is not a requirement, but would be plus ! About Us: - We are a 7 piece band; male and female lead vocals, two guitars, keyboards, bass and drums. - We cover songs from the 60s through today, with an emphasis on the 70s and 80s. - Our repertoire is an electric and eclectic mix of rock, classic rock, new wave, power pop, soul and dance music. - We play around the Pittsburgh area - a mix of festivals, clubs, private and public parties, occasional corporate events. - We rehearse once a week most weeks, and play out once or twice a month. - Rehearsal is currently in Coraopolis, with potential to move to the North Hills later in 2022. - As a side project, we also write and record our own music, influenced by the Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, The Who, Steely Dan, Todd Rundgren, XTC, Tom Petty, Elvis Costello, Motown, and many others too numerous to mention. We fit this in between preparing for gigs, and play some of our originals in each of our sets at most gigs.
