Description
Hello. We are a seeking an experienced bass player to complete our line-up, currently consisting of a drummer, guitar player, keyboard player, and (male) lead singer (we are not planning to add any additional singers or musicians once the bass position is filled). We are all experienced players, but this is a fairly new venture. Our current set consists of around 20 songs. However, once we find our bass player, our intention is to continue building and polishing our setlist at a reasonable rate and be gig-ready by early summer.
We are playing covers spanning the 60s to the 90s with heavy doses of R&B, 70s rock and 80s new-wave. All band members input on new songs is equally considered, but please note that we are not doing top 40 and will remain primarily a classic rock band as opposed to a “dance” or party band.
The age range of the band is mid-40s to mid-60s. Our ultimate goal is to gig 1-2 times per month. We are easy-going, but we are also serious about sounding tight and professional.
We are based on the northern border of DE, approximately 30-35 minutes from Philadelphia and the neighboring suburbs.
We are looking for an experienced bassist who is willing to commit one weekday evening for rehearsal, work on new songs between rehearsals, and show up prepared.
Locking in with the drummer and understanding the importance of the rhythm section is prioritized over “chops.”
Back-up vocals are a plus, not a necessity, as we have a few capable singers.
You must be vaccinated.
