Description
Having about 10,000 things going off in my head. To explain this in easier terms, I wanna write emotive music. Focusing on the extreme ends of the scale as opposed to fixating on the type of music, I'm more drawn to what feeling and reaction it can give. A track like Hamburger Lady by Throbbing Gristle will always bring shivers down the spine moreso than a track by anything by Foo Fighters. I'm all about experimenting to create new found sounds. It does seems everyone is more interested in playing the old tracks by so-called "rock gods" than bringing something new to music. There's so much in the realm of sound to explore that people are afraid to find.
Would love to cover some tunes in a noise centric style. I really wanna make either very aggressive yet deep music or something droning and tearful.
Influences right now on the heavy end are:
Carcass, Whitehouse, Sadness, Disgorge (Mex), Dragged Into Sunlight, TG, Pissgrave, Vein, Parranoul, Birds Fear Death.
Influences on the soft side are: Crystal Castles, My Bloody Valentine, Mixed Matches, The Cure, Kero Kero Bonito, Led Zep (the only 'rock god' band worth talking about!!), Weatherday, M.I.A, Cocteau Twins.
I play guitar pretty well I just cannot compose songs above a one minute length. I certainly am more conventional on bass and do that job to a tee. I program drums which works in a pinch but I enjoy all the drummers I've met and seem to click on composing more when I have someone on percussion I can communicate with in real time.
If you want to just write basic rock, please stay a billion feet away from this post (and me) at all times!!!
