Euthanizing aggressive dogs is the right thing to do. The ACC-NYC is owned and operated by the City and the City of NY has an obligation to keep citizens SAFE.
Vicious dogs are no different than these maniacs who attack Asians for being Asian except dogs attack other dogs for being other dogs, cats for being cats and everybody else for being members of humanity.
Most people are not equipped to handle a large, freakishly strong animal and most people refuse to keep a muzzle on their dog. Accidents do happen and sometimes dogs escape their backyards or leashes and INNOCENT lives are put at risk.
So the answer is: Yes. It is okay to rid the world of an animal who poses a bite and kill risk to people and animals. Please shame breeders who continue to churn out dogs who will be dumped in a shelter when their puppy cuteness runs out and their adult behavior manifests.
