Barnstable Seafood Company is a vertically integrated wholesale seafood business that is owned and operated by a commercial fishermen. BSC is experiencing rapid growth and we’re looking for someone that’s eager to be a part of the seafood industry. We work hard and are looking for someone who does too. Requirements: - Must be 25 years or older - Clean driving record with valid driver’s license - Comfortable driving a box truck - Must be mechanical, understand basic small engines - Comfortable on a boat and out on the water - Capable of lifting 100lbs (in certain instances) - Must be able to swim - Must be able to work with one day off a week in the summer. Daily trips to Boston or New Bedford to transport seafood. You’ll be helping with shellfishing and trap fishing. You will also be buying seafood from fishermen. Additional responsibilities will include maintaining the wholesale facility and gear. The spring, summer, and fall are the most lucrative times of year. Work slows down to part time in the winter. Payment: 25/hr for work on land, crew share for work on the water. Many days there will be a combination of the two.
