We are looking for reliable Handyman Apprentices to work with our team to help complete upkeep and repair tasks of our client's properties. We’ll rely on you to work as part of that team to keep properties in perfect condition by doing various odd jobs. You must be well-organized and willing to learn. A keen eye for detail and physical stamina are valued greatly in this job. You will learn directly with our Handyman on the site. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and light repairs Perform routine landscaping Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, fences, etc.) Undertake light installation or carpentering (e.g. build cabinets) with licensed Handyman Have a keen eye to what the Handyman on site needs for the job and be ready to follow directions Assist with electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g. faucet repairs) Identify and report the need for major repairs as best as possible Skills Experience as handyman is helpful, but will train Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment preferred Basic understanding of construction work Basic math skills Good communication ability Apt in problem-solving Attention to detail This is an Apprentice job that will start out working as part of our team for $20 per hour. After successful completion of 90 days, the successful candidate will then be promoted to Handyman with a pay rate of $20 per hour. Typically, based on job performance, we offer $5 dollar raises once a year after being promoted to Handyman.
