SHOREWOOD, IL —A 21-year-old Channahon man arrested in Shorewood late last week on felony gun charges cannot frequent Bedrocks Bar as a condition of his bail, court files show. Criminal defendant Cristian Barillas was booked into Will County's Jail around 3:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31. Bail was set at $40,000. According to the criminal complaint, Barillas is charged with two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and one charge of unlawful use of weapons. Shorewood Police indicated that Barillas "knowingly concealed on or about his person a pistol ... a Heckler Koch semi-automatic pistol, at a time when he was not on his land, or in his own abode, legal dwelling or fixed place of business ..." The additional charges indicate that "the pistol possessed was uncased, loaded and the ammunition for the weapon was immediately accessible at the time of the offense and (Barillas) had not been issued a currently valid license under the Firearm Concealed Carry Act." On Friday night, Barillas posted 10 percent of his $40,000 bail to get out of jail. Besides being ordered by a Will County judge to have no further contact with Bedrocks Bar, 700 W. Jefferson St., Barillas was told to surrender all of his guns within 48 hours to the Channahon Police Department, court files reflect. Barillas resides on West Old Kerry Grove, according to jail records. Cristian Barillas mugshot via Will County Jail
