Guitar Player Looking for Producer and Mentor

[PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST BEFORE RESPONDING] I'm a guitar player currently trying to write and record original music. My style of music is similar to classic heavy metal. I have been slowly learning how to use DAWs and record over the past couple of years off and on, and have more recently been putting in much more time and work into studying and practicing recording and songwriting. I have honestly been floundering with trying to learn this stuff on my own. That goes for both recording and songwriting. When it comes to recording, I just can't seem to make anything sound right, no matter what I do. It always just sounds..."off", and weird. When it comes to songwriting, I have tried to study my favorite players and sort of copy some of the things they do just for my first few songs, but when I try to write riffs and melodies and record them, it always just comes out sounding really wonky and weird. I seem to have gotten myself into this mental quagmire, and I have decided I really just need to break down and find someone who can help me. I'm looking for someone who can produce and has good experience, and/or potentially does this, or has done this, for a living. Preferably someone who has their own studio or access to one that we can use. I don't have much money, but I would be willing to do my best to compensate you for your time and help. I was hoping I could find someone who would be willing to help me for the sake of helping, since we've all been where I'm at before, and have needed help. But I'm still fully willing to compensate you if need be. I was thinking we could work on just one song together.
