SHOREWOOD, IL —Don Breen, a WWII veteran, celebrated his 100th birthday with a drive-by parade yesterday at the Timbers of Shorewood. More than a dozen organizations came out to celebrate a very special centenarian. Organizations included: Shorewood Police Department Troy Fire Department American Legion Operation Welcome You Home Illinois State Senator Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant Shorewood Library Boy Scouts Girl Scouts Daley's Ambulance Home Instead Caregiving Services Peace Hospice Freedom Ambulance Big Frog Custom T-shirts Signs by Tomorrow Vocalist Kym Frankovelgia performed live The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides senior independent living and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services.
