Description

This is an upscale networking event for small black owned businesses, artist and creatives in the DMV area. This is an upscale 21+ networking event hosted by "The Contee Experience" for small black owned businesses, artist entrepreneurs and creatives in the DMV area. This event is not just limited to those in the DMV area, all are welcomed. The purpose of this event is to not only give back to small black owned business, artist, and creatives but also give them a platform in the community to expand and build their businesses while networking, sharing insights and learn from other like minded individuals. Also, my goal for this event is to help new and established black owned businesses who are facing certain adversities gain exposure, clients/customers for their business while having the support of their community and those who are aligned with those goals. This event will be marketed by way of social media (Instagram, facebook event page, webpage, flyers and direct contact. Yelp is also helping to promote this event in an email blast to over 120,000 people in the DMV area. The event is to take place Saturday,April 2nd, 7pm-12am at I/O Spaces 8222 Georgia Ave. 2nd Floor Silver Spring, MD. DRESS ATTIRE: FORMAL! 1920’s, Great Gatsby, Harlem Renaissance, Jazz Era themed (to give you an idea) of what to wear. As mentioned prior this is an upscale event, the theme is set in the "1920's", This is a very elegant and luxurious stand-up reception style experience from beginning to end. There will be a wide variety of 15-20 vendors at this event. Food and bottomless champagne will be catered and served by a wait staff. There will also be performances from some creatives, D.J Hollywood Redds will be present to set the mood with a variety of hits. Chris Walton videographer will be there to capture the whole experience as well as 1.19 entertainment with their 360 booth. I'm looking to donate with the help of ticket funds as well as donations to give to one small black owned business, artist, entrepreneur or creative in attendance in order to help with their endeavors.
