Description
Protecting Global & Local Families from Adoption Trafficking. Presentations & Panel Discussion on Adoption Yesterday, Today, & Worldwide. After ten years it’s finally time to come together. You're the first to be invited to the Adoption Trafficking Awareness Symposium in Washington state at the Washington State History Museum, curated by the Vance Twins. We are bringing together several overseas adoptees and family members separated-by-adoption representing the U.S., First Nations, India, Chile, Guatemala, Korea, Haiti, and Colombia for an all-day private event to shine a light on the unknown adoptee-centric narratives that need to be told--all rooted in one thing: the practice of adoption. Your seat also includes an entry to peruse the whole museum. It’s time we unite for an insightful event that has the potential to change the way the world sees adoption. Reserve your place now at $200 (regular price $500) for a live auditorium seat reserved for ATTWIN members only. Presented by adopted people--without the influence of adoptive parents and not funded by entities that commodify children. Janine & Jenette (Vance Twins) For more information visit: AdoptionHistory.org P.S. Come in a pair!! Due to the sensitivity and emotional content that so many of us have faced as adopted people, you will want to invite a supportive and empathetic partner--preferably someone adopted--to share this special event with you. *For those who register in the last two weeks in March, you will gain entry to the 80's theme after-party at the Washington State History Museum, AND the price is reduced to $100. Email [email protected] for the coupon code. This only applies to members of Adoption Truth and Transparency Worldwide Information Network. Limited offer. Tacoma is known as the Museum District which consists of 6 museums that are within walking distance (or by light rail) from the venue. Other places we recommend you visit are the Rustin Way Waterfront Park, Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, or head north to Seattle 33 miles away, with a plethora of touristy-type activities, including the Seattle Central Public Library known for its post-modern architecture. Attendees will also get free admission to explore the Washington State History Museum on the day of the event.
