Auditioning versatile female vocalists for male/female acoustic duo for cover gigs. Need to be capable of learning a set list of 40-50 songs of various styles (though mainly top 40 type stuff). Who I am: My name is Daniel, I'm 27, and I have been performing and recording since I was 12. I have thousands of hours on stage under my belt and I am looking to create an excellent acoustic duo that can do private parties, weddings, etc. Music is my highest passion, and I have been using it to pay my bills for almost a decade. My short term goal is for YOU to make a MINIMUM of $175-$275 per gig starting out, with a goal of you making 400-500 per gig, 3 or 4 times a week. I currently live in Los Angeles, but I am relocating to The Woodlands, TX the first week of May. The ideal candidate would be willing to begin learning songs now, so we can meet in person to rehearse 2-3 times in May, then begin booking gigs. If you are serious about paying the bills with your voice, this may be the exact opportunity you have been looking for. I will accompany you with acoustic guitar and maybe some backup harmonies when suitable. I will also take care of the PA, live sound, booking gigs, etc. Your responsibilities are primarily to sound great, engage/entertain the audience, and have fun! Qualifications: • Ability to sing for 3-4 hour gigs • Reliable transportation • Willingness to work hard in rehearsal and be open to critique, no egos :) • Ability to memorize lyrics. (I don’t expect you to memorize 40 songs all at once, but over time would like to move away from reading lyrics off an iPad, etc. • Professionalism. Including knowing your part, being on time, being kind to EVERYONE at the gig (whether they are the busboy or the owner of the venue), communicating, warming up BEFORE you arrive at the job, etc. I love what I do and I have a ton of fun doing it, but I also take this very seriously and always work hard to be the best I can be.
