Central Park historical and monuments walk The tour is a historical and monuments walk through the lower portion of Central Park. We are starting from the Pulitzer fountain (the one in front of the Plaza hotel) at 58th Street. Here we will learn a little about the model of this sculpture and where you can find her throughout the city. We will talk about the beginning of Central Park and its creators. Did you know that this is the 200th anniversary of his birth? There is an African-American female model for one of the sculpture which we will view. We will enter Central Park and check out many of the sculptures, attractions and secrets of the park. The history of the park's beginning will be discussed. The first sculpture in the park to the latest, the new Women Rights Pioneers monument will be our goal. One of the most beautiful areas is the Literary Walk where we will find a number of monuments of writers or poets. Bethesda fountain and its history will be discussed. From here we will make our way to Conservatory Water for the two monuments which children love. Thel walk through the Rambles is unlike any other place in the park and it gets us to Belvedere Castle, and the Delacorte Theater and Diana Ross Playground. We will end the tour around West 81st Street & CPW. Meeting location: Pulitzer Fountain: Date: March 26th,

 1.Participants need to be vaccinated & busted or with a recent negative Covid test. 2.Please be aware that the organizaer is extremely allergic to dogs, so please do not bring your beautiful pet to our walks.
