Description

This training provides Family Support facilitators with the complete facilitator guide and tools to organize and lead CRAFT groups. Family support is a growing need in the Las Vegas community. Many of us have loved ones who struggle with addiction and it can be hard to find support for ourselves and the entire family. Learn how to start your own evidence-based CRAFT support group in your community. For many families across the country, CRAFT has been a great enhancement to 12-step support programs. This training will provide Family Support facilitators with the complete facilitator guide, weekly facilitator instructions, Get Your Loved One Sober book, Family Support Group Workbook and electronic documents that will prepare each facilitator to teach the 12-week Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) Family Support sessions. The training will walk facilitators through the 12 chapters of “Get Your Loved One Sober – Alternatives to Nagging, Pleading and Threatening”, by author Robert J. Meyers, Ph.D. and Brenda L. Wolfe, Ph.D. This program helps family members learn skills to improve personal self-care, communication and their relationship with a loved one by using the principles and skills taught with the evidenced-based CRAFT Model. *A $20 (plus service fee)deposit is required to cover materials, but will be refunded after you have complete the 3-day training.*This training is to teach new CRAFT facilitators how to organized support groups/workshops in partnership between Foundation for Recovery and the Alternative Peer Group.
