Description

Normal Ball python needing a new home. Serious inquiries only. If you have no experience caring for reptiles he is definitely not a snake for a first time owner/keeper. This is not a pet for a child, he doesn’t always appreciate being handled and has tried to tag. He is on frozen/thawed rats. I have noticed he has trouble missing the rat on the first try when using tongs, he is successful by the second try or if you just leave it in his enclosure. Keeping his humidity and heat levels consistent is important as he does struggle to shed, I usually bump his humidity at that time or use a humidity box. He is free of any illness or parasites. He is not housed near other reptiles and absolutely no cohabitation will be accepted. With an experienced owner he may work through the issues with being handled. He is estimated at about 3-4 years old. He is also estimated to be male, based of information given when I took him in. I do have some requirements for a potential home. 1. You must have an adequate enclosure prepared prior to him coming home. This is to ensure your humidity levels and temps are all accurate and hold well. He will not come with an enclosure because it’s important to have this prepared prior to. 2. You must understand he is not a fan of being handled. 3. You must be prepared for his care, you need to know how to select his meals, how often to feed, what accurate temps and humidity should be, etc. 4. You must understand how long these animals live for and be prepared to provide a permanent home for him. 5. Moving him to his new home will be based on his feeds. If he has eaten in the last 48 hours he will not be moved. Everything is to ensure his well-being and proper care. For photos, more information, and rehoming fee please reach out.
