The Red Carpet Premiere of “Take Me to the River: New Orleans" turned fundraiser for the Don "Moose" Jamison Heritage School of Music
About this Event
The Red-Carpet Premiere of “Take Me to the River: New Orleans” is taking place at the Broadside Theater on Wednesday, April 20th, 2022. This film is the ultimate love letter to one of the world’s most important and precious cultural jewels: New Orleans, Louisiana.
Patrons will be intrigued and delighted by the movie premiere, in addition to enjoying a live concert performance and an assortment of food & beverages.
Produced and Directed by Martin Shore (Grammy-nominated music producer), this film experience is a curated display aiming to enlighten all about the significance of the City and its musical art culture, and how the preservation of both should be of the highest importance.
With this noble pursuit in mind, all of the proceeds of this event will be donated to the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation Don "Moose" Jamison Heritage School of Music, the signature education of Jazz & Heritage Foundation. Since its inception in 1990, the Heritage School of Music currently provides free music instruction to over 300 students each week at the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center.
