Man, 19, Dies After Romeoville Shooting

ROMEOVILLE, IL —A man shot multiple times in Romeoville Wednesday evening has died, according to the Will County Coroner's office. Officials identified the man as Osama A. Ibrahim, 19. Officers responded at 6 p.m. to the area near Friendship Centre at HighPoint, where a man with multiple gunshot wounds was transported to a Bolingbrook hospital, police said. Investigators believe the incident could be a targeted attack. Ibrahim was pronounced dead just after 6:30 p.m. at Amita Health Adventist Medical Center emergency room, the coroner's office said. Police said they believe the man exchanged gunfire with two other armed men.
