Come join us for lunch and information exchange on low carbon technologies and strategy DTE Gas Major Accounts invites you to join us for an afternoon of information exchange on opportunities for your organization to move towards net zero carbon. Our energy landscape is rapidly evolving toward a low carbon future, and you need to be aware of the multiple solutions available. Come enjoy and educate yourself on topics including strategic planning, carbon capture, CHP, carbon offsets, hydrogen and renewable natural gas. We will discuss the current natural gas marketplace followed by information on these cutting-edge solutions for your company and efficient operations. Doors open at 11:30 AM and the program begins at noon with lunch provided. An optional brewery tour and happy hour follows. Our guest speaker, Kevin O’Connell of Michigan CAT, will discuss distributed generation or Combined Heat and Power, or cogeneration. CHP can lower your operation’s carbon footprint by 30-40% as compared to the electric grid while providing significant energy cost savings, backup power, and a new source of steam or hot water. Other speakers will discuss other carbon and cost saving gas technologies such as natural gas heat pumps, Renewable Hydrogen and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), carbon capture and carbon offsets.
