Here are the top 3 stories today in Buffalo: Police are investigating after threats were made against the Western New York Maritime Charter School Thursday night. Officers were on campus at the school on South Park Avenue during the day Friday to provide extra security. It is not clear at this time whether a suspect has been charged in relation to the threats. (WIVB 4)A car crashed into a church on East Delavan Avenue and Moselle Street early Friday morning after colliding with another vehicle. Buffalo firefighters and AMR medical crews rescued one of the drivers who was trapped inside their car, and both drivers were transported to Erie County Medical Center with injuries. Officials are still investigating the cause of the crash. (WKBW 7 News Buffalo)City of Buffalo officials unveiled a new mobile pet adoption vehicle on Friday morning. The PAWS Truck is a specially-modified Ford 450 box truck that is outfitted with 12 cages, eight pet carriers, and four display pens to allow potential adopters to view homeless pets. Funds for the truck were raised through efforts by the Friends of the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter.
