Press release from the Montgomery County Department of Police: March 18, 2022 Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police - 2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing Silver Spring woman. On Thursday, March 17, 2022, at approximately 12:06 p.m., 24-year-old Keona Smith was last seen walking out of her residence in 8500 block of 16th St. in Silver Spring. Keona is 5-feet, 3-inches tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo on her shoulder. She is wearing black pants, black boots and possibly a black jacket. Police and family are concerned for her welfare. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Keona Smith is asked to call the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24-hour line).
