Delgado Celebrates Community College Week Through March 21-25

Press release from the Delgado Community College Jefferson Campus: March 16, 2022 Delgado Community College has scheduled special events at each of the college's locations during Community College Week, March 21-25. Community College Week is designed to inform prospective students of all ages about programs offered and the potential careers related to those programs. Delgado will host Community College Week activities at the City Park Campus, West Bank Campus (Algiers), Jefferson Site (Metairie), River City Site (Avondale), Sidney Collier Site (Gentilly). Highlights of the week include Discover Delgado Day on March 24, 9 am – 3 pm at the City Park Campus, and Preview Day on March 26, 10 – 11:30 am, also at the City Park Campus. Tour the campus and earn about the college, programs, and services available. Talk to faculty from Allied Health, Science Lab Technology, Sign Language, Computer Information Technology, Culinary, Hospitality, Business, and Nursing programs. Science and STEM programs are scheduled at the West Bank Campus on March 24, 5-8 pm, and at the City Park Campus on March 25, 9-11 am. Learn about Delgado's top ranked science and technology programs. The River City Site in Avondale is offering information about the Mechatronics, Welding, and Precision Machining programs through engaging demonstrations. This takes place March 23, 1-3 pm.
