GUERNEVILLE, CA — The Guerneville School District, in partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin, is providing lunch to all local children ages 18 and younger, regardless of the school they attend. "This is an essential function for our community that will begin effective today, March 23, 2020," said Vanessa Miranda, spokesperson for BGC Sonoma-Marin. The "Grab & go" meals are being served free of charge from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday at Guerneville Elementary School, 14630 Armstrong Woods Road, while schools are closed because of the coronavirus pandemic. As a precautionary measure because on the virus, all visitors are asked to remain in their cars. Further, per federal guidelines for the meals, children must be present in order for the meals to be provided, Miranda said. Future central location for meal service may be announced pending state approval, according to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin.
