Plainfield Park District Haunted Hayrides scurry back into Eaton Preserve on Oct. 23 and 24 to frighten area families. The event will include a hayride through the trails at Eaton Preserve, 23604 W. 135th St., with scary scenes around every twist and turn. A family-friendly version with mild scares will run from 5-6 p.m. for kids 2 and up. Bone chilling version for older kids will run from 7-10 p.m. Adult chaperone required for kids under 12. Family-friendly hayride is $5. Scary version $10. Pre-registration is required for this event. There will be no onsite registration. Hayrides depart approximately every 15 minutes. Face coverings are required. Scare up some volunteer hours! We are looking for scary costumed volunteers ages 13 and up for this event.
