I Am Surprised

Yesterday Putin appeared at a large football stadium and gave a speech about his war in Ukraine. Supposedly the speech was heard and seen by roughly 200,000 Russian citizens, many wh were waving flags, banners, and cheering. From what we are hearing from news sources here in the US I found the whole thing to be both troubling and surprising. First. I was stunned to see Putin making a public appearance and that he appeared to be quite normal (for Putin). Second I was surprised that he survived the event given the fact he is probably the most wanted person on the planet. Third, I was also surprised by what appeared to be an unquestioned loyalty by the citizens attending this political event. Per the US media this seemed like almost a total contrast to what we've been hearing. Frankly, I think it is time for Biden to actually make a decision his rhetoric is all fluff. No one takes his warning seriously. As Senator Kennedy of Louisana said, "Biden has plenty of wishbone but no backbone." Putin is escalating their war efforts. Step up Joe and give Ukraine offensive weapons so that they can do more than just fend off the Russian forces give Ukraine the tools to fight back. Ukraine is fighting not only for their freedom but for the freedom of all the free world.
