Big Rig Stuck In Ditch, Blocks Trinity Road Near State Highway 12

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Trinity Road was completely shut down Monday morning near state Highway 12 by a semi truck described as too big for the road, according to the California Highway Patrol. Around 9:45 a.m., CHP reported that part of the big rig was in a ditch on Trinity Road just east of SR-12, north of Glen Ellen and west of the Sonoma-Napa County Line. Only a 3-foot section of roadway was open, so drivers were reportedly directed to use the shoulder to get around the truck. At 11 a.m., CHP reported the roadway was completely shut down as a tow truck crew worked to remove the semi from the ditch.
