King Assembly is metro Detroit’s one stop shop for assembly, installation, and mounting services! We provide reliable in-home or in-office services for retail customers as well as professional display units for commercial clients. We are now hiring in-home assembly technicians to provide high quality services to our growing Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb county clientele. You will be completing work at various customer locations. Responsibilities include: • Assemble, install, or mount all products according to manufacturer’s directions and specifications. • Move large and heavy items. • Complete other work tasks as indicated by the work order. • Complete repairs as necessary. • Record and report any missing parts to the customer. • Work in a safe and clean manner. • Stage assembled product in a neat and orderly fashion. • Dispose of trash as dictated by the customer. • Complete required information for invoice purposes. • Update customer status as required. • Other duties and/or tasks may be assigned on an as needed basis. Requirements: • Must have 2+ years of assembly, manufacturing, construction, skilled trade, or other service technician experience. • Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation. • Must have a smartphone or tablet with cellular service. • Must be tech-proficient with text, email, apps, GPS, etc. • Must be at least 18 years of age. • Must consent to a background check. • Must have required tools and ability to use properly. • Must be detail oriented. • Must be a self-starter. • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills. • Must be well-groomed, well-mannered, and professional. All positions are part time to start and hours are increased based on customer feedback. Flexible scheduling provided. Service hours are 10A to 8P Monday-Friday, and some Saturdays as needed. This is a 1099 contract position. Pay starts at $17/hour plus mileage reimbursement and payment is issued weekly via direct deposit.
